Digital Design Print Work
Monday 28th April 2008
At the end of last week we put this one up on our home page so to see the full size image take a look there. But we thought we'd use this space to fill you in with a bit more information on the project.
Digital Design UK came to us with a plain existing website; a series of mismatched brochures; several styles of information sheet; and a new logo but no brand. It was our job to sort through all of this and try to make sense of it into an accessible brand identity.
As is often the case, we found the best solution was a simple one. The company offer IT-based systems for streamlining/improving company work flow, a complex description that the name fails to reflect. However the image of ethernet cables sums it up perfectly, suggesting all the relevant connotations for their business: IT, computers, networking, linking together, information/data transfer, big business. We kept it simple, sharp and minimalist (and inexpensive) by shooting the cables and router against a white background with our in-house facilities.
Biomillions Invite Finished
Tuesday 22nd April 2008
Following on from designing the logo for the BBSRC's event/exhibition in the Treasury in London, we have also designed the invitations to go out to MPs, VIPs and Captains of Industry. Lets hope it does the trick. You can read/see more about it on our home page now.
Tangled in Cables
Tuesday 15th April 2008
A bit of an update from our Studio as we haven't put much new work online for a little while now. However fear not, we are keeping busy and one of our current tasks sees us trying to tame lots of computer network cable into a fresh new brand for Digital Design UK. It has resulted in some pretty cool close-up, almost abstract photos (see left). We're also carrying out some more work for the BBSRC and both projects will be able to be seen online soon.
New Business Checklist
Thursday 3rd April 2008
We know that when starting a business it can be a bit overwhelming to think of all the graphic design tasks that need doing, from coming up with a name to getting that vital web presence. That is why we have put together a big list of everything you can think of (and some things you may never have considered) that will need doing to promote a successful business, whatever it may be.
You can download the pdf of the poster to view for yourself or even print off a copy by either clicking here or on the thumbnail to your left. If you want a nice shiney copy, pre-folded down to A6 size then you can email us. We hope anyone who has just started or is thinking about setting up a new business will find this useful and we'd love to hear your feedback.
