FAQ

A New Webpage

Friday 28th March 2008

We have just launched a new page for our very own website (yep, this one). It is called FAQ and can be found under PFA Towers on the left side of each page. It's a bit different to the standard FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page most websites have as We've set it up as a place to answer all the questions that come up in our day-to-day work with clients and generally anyone we meet. Hopefully some of the answers will be able to help you be more informed when using graphic designers. If you've got a question, do give us an email.

Bioscience:Biomillions Logo

Logo for the BBSRC

Monday 17th March 2008

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council chose us to design a logo for an event they are holding to show the benefits to the UK economy of their work, called Bioscience: Biomillions. They elected to go for a simple, modern typographic solution to use for the exhibition, which will be targetted at MPs, VIPs and Captains of Industry.

Their logo can also be seen to the left, which we like because its quite fun and a bit different and you can find out more about them at their website

Mark Cooper Associates Promotional Mailer

Promo Mailer Designed

Thursday 13th March 2008

To follow on from the re-brand we carried out for Mark Cooper Associates (see the design work) we have designed a mailer to go round their existing clients to promote this new look for the company.

It is effectively a fancy A4 folded sheet, which gives information about the company and when fully unfolded shows off some examples of the work they have carried out. In fact it is a paper version of the website, showing the information in a new way.

Tecconex Consultants Logo

New Small Business Logo

Friday 7th March 2008

We have just completed a new identity for Tecconex Consultants, a company that provides IT advice to the motor trade. We aimed to capture the motor and computer sides of the business with a logo that recalls a car badge and a power 'on' button, whilst also displaying the company initials.

This was an interesting challenge that saw us start off on the wrong track before re-assessing the problem and coming up with something that really worked. Sometimes you've got to be prepared to scrap your work and start again to move forwards.
